KLC Launches Polypropylene Label Line

SAN DIEGO, June 6, 2010 /Newswire/ -- Kieran Label Corp (KLC) announced the immediate availability of polypropylene (BOPP) labels. Designed to meet the needs of high-aesthetic and high durability label applications, KLC's new offering provides tremendous quality and cost benefits for users of BOPP labels.

Unique among western US label converters, KLC synthesizes silicone, nitrogen and adhesive as it integrates synthetic face-stock with paper liner and then die-cuts, prints and rewinds these materials in one continuous production line.

Working with Cosmos, a global leader in the polypropylene industry, KLC has developed a variety of applications for White Gloss Polypropylene labels. These applications support a variety of flexographic printing processes up to 6 colors using KLC's in-house wide-format presses and up to 8 colors on narrow web presses.

KLC CEO and Chairman Denis K. Vanier commented, "Our ability to produce BOPP labels in-house for the North American market will generate significant savings for customers. In addition, our onsite R&D facility substantially reduces lead times for the print and packaging industry."
