Kieran Label Receives UL Approval for Proprietary Synthetic Label Solution

San Diego, CA September 6, 2011 - Kieran Label Corp (KLC) today announced that it has received approval from Underwriter Laboratories (UL) for a synthetic label construction. KLC has a long track record of receiving UL approval for material plus printing combinations. This approval, however, marks the first time that KLC has sought and received approval for its own raw material produced entirely in-house.

Traditionally, UL approved materials have only been available from a small set of providers. CEO Denis Vanier commented, "KLC's entrance into this market will equip KLC distributors with the ability to successfully market rugged labels at significant cost savings. This solution is approved for both indoor and outdoor applications and features outstanding tear resistance."

The material is a 2.0 Mil White Polyester with holt-melt acrylic adhesive and is suitable for a variety of durable labeling applications including electronic goods and cabling, product safety labeling, bar-coding and asset identification. The material has also been approved for flexographic printing with Environmental Film III Series Black ink and has been approved for use with a variety of DNP Ribbons.
