KLC Cuts Ribbon on Brand New Facility
SAN DIEGO, August 6, 2008 /Newswire/ -- Kieran Label Corp (KLC) officially opened for business at its brand-new corporate owned facility in San Diego, California. The premises total approximately 55,000 square feet and include ample expansion space.
The new facility was custom-designed for flexographic processes and built-to-suit for the company. State-of-the-art nitrogen storage infrastructure was developed to support the company's vertically integrated operations.
As a vertically integrated label producer, KLC does not just die cut and print labels. It also produces pressure sensitive material using a highly calibrated and proprietary synthesis of nitrogen, silicone, adhesive, face stock and liner. The new facility will provide far more capacity to support Kieran Label's production of label material.
Chairman and CEO Denis Vanier personally served as the lead developer for the project. "Our new home is a showcase for 21st century label production and provide an outstanding environment for our employees, customers and business partners."
The site selection in southern San Diego will also support KLC's substantial and growing exports to the Mexican market. Labels manufactured by Kieran already can be found on most of the leading brands of consumer electronic, medical device and garden products manufactured in the maquiladora zone.
About KLC
As the only vertically integrated label converter in the Western United States, KLC has a unique advantage in delivering rigid quality control, industry leading response times, and competitive pricing. KLC's custom labeling processes include roll, sheet and continuous products. KLC has been headquartered in San Diego County since 1979.
